Split System Air Conditioning Installation

A split system is one of those jobs where the install matters as much as the unit itself. Get it wrong and you’re looking at poor performance, higher power bills, or an unnecessary callback down the track. Get it right, and it just works, quietly, for years.
We supply and install split systems across Scarborough and Perth, for single rooms through to whole-home setups. We hold our own refrigerant licence, so the whole job stays in-house from start to finish. Happy to supply the unit or install one you’ve already bought.
We work with TCL (7 year warranty), Fujitsu (5 year warranty) and Daikin (5 year warranty), and we’ll help you work out the right size and placement for the space before wiring it in properly on its own circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size split system do I need?

It comes down to room size, ceiling height, insulation, and how much sun the room cops through the day. An undersized unit runs flat out and struggles; an oversized one costs more than it should and cycles badly. We size the unit to the actual space, not a rule of thumb, and we’ll tell you if the unit you had in mind isn’t the right fit.
No. In Australia the refrigerant side of the job legally requires a licensed refrigerant handler, and the electrical connection must be done by a licensed electrician. A DIY install is illegal for those parts of the job, voids the manufacturer’s warranty, and can create real fire and refrigerant risks. It’s not a corner worth cutting.
Usually, yes. Most split systems need a dedicated circuit from the switchboard with an isolator switch at the outdoor unit. We check your switchboard as part of the quote, and if it can’t take another circuit we’ll tell you before the job starts, not during it. [Link to switchboard page]
Reverse cycle just means the unit heats as well as cools. Most modern split systems are reverse cycle, so one unit covers Perth summers and the cold snaps in winter.
Often, yes. Depending on the layout it might be a few individual units, or a multi-head system running several indoor units off one outdoor compressor. We’ll walk through the house and give you a straight recommendation based on how you actually use the space.
