● Fuses instead of RCDs
● Frequent trips or flickering lights
● No safety switches (RCDs) fitted, or not enough of them
● Renovating, adding a split system, or installing an EV charger
● Selling or renting out the property and the switchboard’s come up in an inspection
We’re a small, local team, not a call centre. When you book a switchboard upgrade with us, you’re dealing directly with people who’ll actually be on the tools, who show up when they say they will, and who won’t leave you with a job half-explained. It’s the kind of work where doing it properly matters, and that’s exactly how we do it.
The clearest signs are ceramic fuses instead of RCDs, safety switches that trip constantly,
flickering lights, or a board that feels warm to the touch. If your home was built before the 1990s
and the board’s never been touched, it’s worth an inspection either way. We’ll tell you straight
whether it needs replacing or not.
